The story
In a distant future, at the centre of the Shha-21 galaxy, lie the territories of the Amel Confederation. The planets that belong to it live together in a fragile balance, still recovering from the bloody wars that come round again and again to trouble the peace they have reached.
Into this comes Colonel Yann Denve, handed a very delicate assignment: with his crew he is to find out what became of Shan d'Or, a friend and a member of his own staff, who was heading for a dangerous planet — one closed to all navigation — on the border between two great Federations that are often at war.
The fear is that she went up with her ship. What was the real purpose of her mission? And above all, is there any chance she is still alive?
Through revelations and sudden turns, The Shipwreck of Shan tells a science fiction epic of heroes, shrewd politicians and formidable spies, and holds the reader's breath to the last page.
