Writing software since 1995
I wrote my first line of business software in 1995. MyShop has not stood still since — moving with every version of Windows, every change in tax law, every new way of selling online. Today it runs in hundreds of shops across Italy.
The story
First steps
First programs in Basic and Pascal. I find out that writing software is not a job — it is a way of thinking.
The first management system
I write the first management system in Visual Basic, for a shop in Rome. Stock, till, receipts. It works. People like it.
Growth and distribution
The software grows. The first resellers come on board. MyShop starts to spread across Italy, one shop at a time.
The move to VB.NET
A complete rewrite in VB.NET on SQL Server. A modern architecture, better performance, a solid relational database.
Electronic invoicing
Full integration with SDI, the Italian Revenue Agency exchange system. MyShop handles the whole cycle of outgoing and incoming e-invoices on its own.
E-commerce and marketplaces
A reseller connects MyShop to NopCommerce, Amazon, eBay, Prestashop, TrovaPrezzi and other platforms. The management system becomes the heart of a multi-channel setup.
Direct e-commerce and Protocol 17
I build an e-commerce module of my own, inside MyShop. POS integration over Protocol 17 for electronic payments (Ingenico, Verifone, PAX). The software keeps growing.

Point of sale
Till, fiscal receipts, returns and exchanges. A quick interface built for everyday use behind the counter.
Stock
Live quantities on hand, inventory, goods in and goods out. Multi-site and multi-warehouse.
Electronic invoicing
The full SDI cycle: issuing, receiving, legal archiving. Compliant with current Italian law.
POS payments
Native integration with POS terminals (Ingenico, Verifone, PAX) over Protocol 17 on TCP/IP. No middleman software.
Multi-channel selling
Products, prices and stock kept in step with Amazon, eBay, Prestashop, NopCommerce, TrovaPrezzi and other platforms.
Direct e-commerce
An e-commerce module of my own, in development: an online shop window built straight into MyShop, with nobody in between.
Customers and loyalty
Customer records, loyalty cards, purchase history, promotional campaigns and points.
Reports and figures
Sales analysis by product, category, period and operator. Configurable dashboards for the decisions a business has to make.
Suppliers and orders
Supplier records, purchase orders, goods received and a movement history for each supplier.
Hardware built in
Fiscal printers (Epson, Custom, Olivetti), barcode scanners, scales, cash drawers, customer displays.
Ecosystem
MyShop talks to the main marketplaces and tools of digital commerce, Italian and international.

How it works
I make the software; two authorised resellers distribute it and look after support across the country. A model that has held up for thirty years.
Development
I design and develop the software without interruption. New features, changes to keep up with the law, hardware and online platform integrations.
Distribution
Two authorised resellers cover the whole country. Sales, installation, training and support contracts with the end customers.
Evolution
What resellers and customers report feeds straight back into development. MyShop grows with what Italian retail needs, and has done for thirty years.
